The Nordfjord Opera House, co-located with Eid secondary school in the center of Nordfjordeid and was opened by the Minister of Culture in 2009. Here you will find a concert hall with room for 530 spectators, the Gymmen stage and studio and both a cinema and a library. The opera hall is a permanent arena for the district opera Opera Nordfjord, but welcomes artists and productions of the best quality throughout the year, including the Riksteateret.
The co-located facility is also a popular event arena for teams, organisations, schools and private individuals in the district. Students at the various professional lines are often directly involved in the production of musicals and opera performances.
