Honningsvåg

Honningsvåg is a small bayside village at the northern end of Stadlandet. The spectacular sea and nature here make it a unique place.

The weather can be quite rough, and it can be demanding to sail in and out of the bay, but a pier and a well-marked channel make it a good harbour for both professional vessels and leisure boats.

This is an excellent place for those who are interested in diving. The area is also great for birdwatching and hiking, both in the mountains and on flat terrain.

The mountain between Eltvik and Honningsvågen was traditionally used as a transport route before the road came in 1933 and is still used today when the weather is bad and there is a risk of landslides.
