The sand on the bottom extends some distance under the water out from the beach. <br\/>Follow Sj\u00f8gata to the south side of Nordfjordeid centre. Cross the bridge and turn down to the right after about 400 metres. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Seljesanden<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p>Location: Selje<\/p>\n\n<p>With clear water and fine sand, Seljesanden in the centre of Selje is a great destination for both young and old. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bua.io\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">BUA<\/a> is located right on the beach. <\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"591\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hjartestad.no\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/IMG_3831-scaled-e1628239651984-1024x591.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2608\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.hjartestad.no\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/IMG_3831-scaled-e1628239651984-1024x591.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.hjartestad.no\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/IMG_3831-scaled-e1628239651984-300x173.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.hjartestad.no\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/IMG_3831-scaled-e1628239651984-768x443.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.hjartestad.no\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/IMG_3831-scaled-e1628239651984-1536x887.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/www.hjartestad.no\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/IMG_3831-scaled-e1628239651984-2048x1182.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Gryta<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p>Location: St\u00e5rheim<\/p>\n\n<p>Location: St\u00e5rheim. One of the most challenging swimming spots in St\u00e5rheim is Gryta. It can be a bit cold in the water here, but it is a good place for the tough and those who are looking for diving opportunities.  <br\/>Exit national road Rv15 to Fv5747 \u2013 towards Remmedalen \u2013 just east of St\u00e5rheim centre. Follow the road 1.1 km before turning left by the grey barn right beside the road. The drive is described in Opptur Stad routes 8-05.   <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Suffefj\u00e6ra<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p>Location: St\u00e5rheim<\/p>\n\n<p>With small rocks and rock formations, Suffefj\u00e6ra is a swimming spot that is suitable for families. <br\/>Just east of St\u00e5rheim centre (at the exit to Remmedalen), turn off the Rv15 onto a gravel road that leads down to the fjord. The swimming area is located on the right side.  <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>\u00c5rskogvika<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p>Location: Lote<\/p>\n\n<p>There is a nice pebble beach at Lote, by \u00c5rskogvika, which is suitable for families and groups. Here, you have a great view of the fjords and mountains. <\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"880\" height=\"569\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hjartestad.no\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/arskogvika-e1628239941700.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2612\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.hjartestad.no\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/arskogvika-e1628239941700.jpg 880w, https:\/\/www.hjartestad.no\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/arskogvika-e1628239941700-300x194.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.hjartestad.no\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/arskogvika-e1628239941700-768x497.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 880px) 100vw, 880px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Fjordsight Resort<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p>Location: Bryggja<\/p>\n\n<p>Location: Bryggja. At Norane by Fjordsight Resort you will find a nice sandy beach. There are 200 metres of shoreline, and good opportunities for swimming and fishing. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Gautevatnet<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p>Location: Nordfjordeid<\/p>\n\n<p>Kill two birds with one stone with a trip to Sk\u00e5rhaugssetra and a refreshing dip just a short distance from the peak. This is a typical mountain lake, which is lovely to swim and fish in. It is described in Opptur Stad route 06-12.   <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Vedvikv\u00e5gen<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p>Location: Vedvik<\/p>\n\n<p>Not everyone has the opportunity to swim in the deepest lake in Europe, but in Vedvikv\u00e5gen you can enjoy a dip in Hornindalsvatnet.<br\/>Drive to Hjelle (east of Nordfjordeid), take national road Rv15 towards Heggjabygda, follow the road about 1.9 km and you will arrive at Vedvikv\u00e5gen.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Nesjartun Camping<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p>Location: Nesjartun<\/p>\n\n<p>This swimming spot is located at the end of Hornindalsvatnet lake. Ideal for swimmers who like to dive. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Ervik beach<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p>Location: Ervik<\/p>\n\n<p>The popular Erviksanden is one of the beaches in the area that features sand and blue waters.<\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"880\" height=\"635\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hjartestad.no\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/Ervika-e1628239139797.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2607\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.hjartestad.no\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/Ervika-e1628239139797.jpg 880w, https:\/\/www.hjartestad.no\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/Ervika-e1628239139797-300x216.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.hjartestad.no\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/Ervika-e1628239139797-768x554.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 880px) 100vw, 880px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Lisjebreil\u00f8ken<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p>Location: Kj\u00f8lsdalen<\/p>\n\n<p>This is an idyllic swimming spot, for both young and old. Lisjebreil\u00f8ken is a dam in the river that flows from Lj\u00e5dalsvatnet lake, and down to the fjord through Kj\u00f8lsdalen. The swimming area is located at Dalsetra.  <br\/>Take the Rv15 in Kj\u00f8lsdalen, and drive up the entire valley on the paved road. Then turn into the gravel country lane and drive about 1 km to Salhaugen, where the first car park is located. Continue down Myst\u00f8ylvegen, the first road on the right, about 250\u2013300 metres, where there is also parking for some cars just by Lisjebreil\u00f8ken.   <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Berga in Hessevik<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p>Location: Bryggja<\/p>\n\n<p>Enjoy a swim by the beautiful rocks of Hessevik. This is an excellent area for sunbathing and relaxation. <br\/>At the southern end of Bryggja centre, turn left before the tunnel towards national road Rv15. Hessevika is located right after the intersection. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>L\u00f8kjastranda<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p>Location: Haugen<\/p>\n\n<p>L\u00f8kjastranda is a popular swimming spot in Haugen. It is especially suited for young children. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Hoddeviksanden<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p>Location: Hoddevik<\/p>\n\n<p>P\u00e5 denne sandstranda kan ein b\u00e5de bade og l\u00e6re \u00e5 surfe.
